If I exit from a Hollwood program/script that has used Polybios, the polybios.ext process (Status in MorphOS shows "LIBS:Hollywood/polybios.ext") doesn't exit but is left running as a background process. Is it by purpose or should it get killed when a program quits? It consumes over 5 megabytes of RAM at least, which could make a difference for example under OS4 emulation with 128MB RAM limit

Yes, that's intended behaviour because loading this large program all the time seemed like too much overhead for me in comparison to just keeping another 5 MB in memory. Of course, you can quit it any time by sending a CTRL-C signal.
