I tried to change the mouse pointer with some png-mouse-pointer image (with and without alpha channel) -- downloaded from the internet and/or created with gimp. However, the proportions are always wrong and also the colors, so the pointer really looks ugly and is hardly recognized at all.

Displaying PNG-Pictures in hollywood is however not a problem.

Are there any special requirements on the brush that can be used as mouse pointer - and which i missed in the documentation?

Thanks, Tom

You mean on OS3? That's normal :) OS3 mouse pointers are hardware sprites and thus limited by the custom chip hardware, so Hollywood has to map them down to 4 colors and 16x16 pixels I think... this will of course look pretty ugly :) On all other systems it should be working fine (except AROS which currently lacks custom mouse pointer support)

Makes sense, thanks. I may try to find a simple 16x16 4-colour pointer for OS3 then, because I just need a visual feedback when changing hwbeamer to a "edit"-mode. A simple black error would be enough for that purpose.

Thanks, Tom
