Is it possible that an application compiled for linux does only work on a 32Bit Linux system? I couldn't find information about that in the documentation but also only had a quick look.

It seems easier to me if I ask here :-)

If 64Bit is not supported, is it planned or would it be to difficult? Nowadays, all cpus are 64Bit and it would be nice, if i could run my hollywood applications on linux 64bit :)

Thanks, nexus

Hmm, not necessarily, I don't know if 32bit binaries work on 64bit Linux systems. On Windows and Mac this will work fine but I don't know how it is under Linux. You might have to install 32bit versions of several system components first... try Google :)

Unfortunately, porting Hollywood to 64bit would be a major effort because it does many things that depend on a 32bit architecture. Locating and adapting all the instances of 32bit dependent code in Hollywood would cost a lot of time so don't expect it anytime soon.
