Error Allocating Bitmap

Post by SpawnPPC »

Hi everyone.

I'm going crazy trying to get Hollywood and planamara to work on AmigaOS 3.1 on AmigaForever.

I proceed to create a clean installation of AmigaOS 3.1 with ROM 3.1 and nothing else. Then I proceed to install Picasso96 V. 3.4.0 and V. 3.4.1 successfully and reboot.
Then I proceed to install Plananarama V. 2.2 successfully and reboot.
Then I install the library codesets.library successfully and reboot.
Now I launch the executable compiled via Hollywood for AmigaOS 3.1 68020 and then launch it on my Amiga 500.
Checking its operation with SnoopDOS you can clearly see that it finds everything it is looking for and after about 30 seconds of loading a Hollywood Player window comes out and tells me that "ERROR ALLOCATING BITMAPS!" and stop. It doesn't go any further. Where do you think I'm going wrong?

Thanks to anyone who can give me some ideas to apply!

From the Plananarama FAQ:
Q: I'm getting an "Out of memory!" error but I have lots of fast memory.
A: First make sure you have installed FBlit. Then make sure that you've configured FBlit correctly. You have to add Hollywood to FBlit's "Include" list in the "FAllocBitMap" tab. If Hollywood is included in this list, it will be able to place graphics in fast memory which is absolutely needed since 2 MB of chip memory certainly won't be enough for Hollywood. So make sure you configure FBlit correctly.
